Kitchen Support

Type: Seasonal | Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay: $18–$25/hour + shared tips (based on experience & responsibility)

We’re Kid Sister Ice Cream — a small-batch, locally focused ice cream company on a mission to bring joy through inventive, high-quality treats. We’re looking for motivated, detail-loving kitchen staff to join us as we grow our scoop shop and production kitchen.

This role is a great fit for someone who loves working with great ingredients, thrives in a team but doesn’t need hand-holding, and is excited to help build something special from the ground up.

The Vibe

We’re a young business building something bold and beautiful. We prioritize working with local farms and producers, care deeply about quality, and hold ourselves to a high standard — but we also like to laugh, try new things, and make magic out of quality milk and fruit.

What You’ll Do

  • Make ice cream, sorbet and popsicle bases from scratch

  • Churn ice cream, sorbet and popsicles using our commercial machine (requires focus!)

  • Produce and package popsicles

  • Prep sauces, swirls, and other mix-ins

  • Maintain a clean, food-safe workspace in a shared kitchen

  • Drive finished products from the kitchen to the scoop shop 

What You Bring

  • Kitchen or food prep experience (required)

  • Food Safe certification and a valid driver’s license (required)

  • Strong attention to detail and time management

  • Self-motivated, clean, organized, and able to follow instructions precisely

  • A creative and collaborative spirit

  • Able to stand for long periods in one spot & able to lift 50lbs+

Scoop Shop Shift Supervisor

Type: Seasonal to start | Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay: $20–$22/hour (based on experience) + shared tips

We’re looking for a confident, organized, people-loving Scoop Shop Supervisor to help lead the day-to-day operations at Kid Sister Ice Cream. You’ll be the go-to person during shifts — running the floor, supporting the scooping team, and keeping everything smooth, fun, and on track.

This is a great opportunity for someone with leadership experience in hospitality or retail who’s ready to grow with a small but mighty team.

The Vibe

We’re a new scoop shop with big dreams and a lot of heart. You’ll be part of a small but mighty team bringing Kid Sister to life, with responsibility leading the shifts at the shop. You’ll help us create a space where everyone (staff included!) feels good.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise daily operations at the scoop shop and manage any issues that arise

  • Open and close the shop with precision and care

  • Run the shop according to the Kid Sister Position Playbook

  • Support and guide scooping staff, cover breaks, and keep energy high

  • Manage till floats and end-of-day cashouts

  • Track inventory and communicate stock needs

  • Deliver excellent customer service and keep the vibe joyful and efficient 

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in hospitality or retail

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Great communication and a calm, upbeat presence under pressure

  • A love of local food and passion for creating a welcoming space

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and scoop like a pro

  • Availability on Thursdays to Saturdays, with more shifts as the shop grows
